the good friend

What a good friend a camera can be!
Even the ugliest things can be pretty in the right light and angle. So I tried to make some pics of the cubes-house and some other of my minis are displayed in this room.

how do you like this dollshouses?

I found all these lovely "houses" on this site for railway-models. look here.
Some will not be in the right scale, but I try to get some of these. After working on my art-deco and cubes-dollshouses in 1:144 I am frustrated.

very slow progress with my dollshouses

This house (ebay uk) inspired me to make a mini-version of it, because there is no thouht of purchasing such houses in its real size for me - sigh. As I told you, I was not very happy with the result of my first shot. Because I had no red paint, I tried to use tape, but that doesn't look good on a close view. And I realized: my workroom for minis was very messy and to small.

I promised to show more pics of the house and here they are with the tape. There was another synchronizity, because in the next morning I saw a tv-report about TAPE-ART!
I've never heard about that before.

I bought some red color and these stuff, hoping the second shot would be better.
but I am not content with the 2. result, too.
The boxes for toothpicks - very cheap, so I bought a lot - inspired me to make another house - so that the unfinished projekts grew to more and more.....;-)

I'm not sure if I'll be in the mood for working on this projects in the next time - but let's see what happens.

traditional bedroom

Update sunday morning: I realized that I never had or liked a bedroom like this, there was more living in my/our bedrooms and so I changed a few things:

some more unfinished project cleared

In the museum-shop I found this postcard, it waits for beeing tiles some day. the day is today.

I recovered the cream paint from this sink, it was hard work, but I like it and I like the result.
this cabinet came with the 1930-house and without a door, so it is hard for me to find a good use for it, but in this scene it works I think. Again a mix of styles, perhaps there are a few young people living together here...

this was an orange Bodo-Hennig-chair and I don't like orange so much - except combined with turquoise.

the lilac chair came with the modella kitchen in a very ugly green, in this lilac I like it more and it looks more like a wooden chair than like a plastic. The turquoise chair is Modella too. Because I have 5 red-white chairs allready and because the new ones was very dirty, I painted them too.
The Bodo-Hennig Shelve has the same color as the chair.

the wooden chair (1930 house, painted red and white before) was a hard work too, but I like the result.

I was busy

to cover the chairs with cloth is a bit difficult - hands full of glue - but this matchbox-sofas are soooo easy to make! everyone can do it. it was harder to find the perfect fabric. this is, like the first time I made such a sofa, silk. it's more expansive, but the result is better than with cotton.

the empty room filled

I love to have an empty room in a house, this one in the lundby-kitchen (never used as a kitchen) was very cosy for me with only a few items in it.
But today my order from UK with a TRIANG-chair arrived AND a gift from Callsmall - guess what it is?

I was a bit shocked, because the chair is sooo small and I picked my very small shelves, that would go with it well. One of them was in this turquoise colour, that doesn't match to many other things. But today everything turned out to be perfect. Callsmalls postcard with the red lips of the woman and the background in the perfect same colour as the shelve - I am happy!
The room is not full of furniture - as I like it. What a great day.

Suzan Geridönmez,

... after a few days (I need for a new idea) I want to give you a flower-welcome. So nice you follow my blog, thank you very much.

There are no flowers on my balcony, I haven't shown yet, so I tried to make an ikebana-style arrangements with natural and plastic flowers.

Hope you like it, it's only for you!

counter area shrift

When I am in my shrift I often think it is a good theme for miniatures. every year a new design, lot of glass and chrome and extraordinary ideas. looks like they have enough money for designers - not like me :-(
My counter area isn't such hightech, but hopefully makes a secure athmosphere for the customers.
