Mauerfall

Today I visited my son for our project with the chairs. First he told me that it would be too hard for him and that he hasn't got the right tools. But I told him he would be able and ...

... now I have four OOAK-chairs - everyone is a bit different. but I love them much more than the one I could have bought from reac.
My chairs can tell a story of a nice evening with my son at the day of "Mauerfall". He presented me a lamp which imitates sunlight (95 % like real sunlight), for making fotos in the evening, but I think I will not be able to work on my minis tonight, because my eyes are allways full of tears, when I watch tv. And so it was 20 years ago. I remember this time with watching tv and cry, cry, cry....
So good to cry because of beeing touched.
The chairs can wait - I will make the seats in the next days.

  1. I think that's a great beginning for the chairs. I'd love to have that lamp too, I have them only in the kitchen now:) which is not the great place for taking photos.

  3. I love how the chairs have turned out so far,
you have a really talented son!
And I agree, being able to be touched is nice, especially when it's because of something as fantastic and mind blowing as the fall of the Berlin wall was!

  7. The chairs look great. And I agree - The Berlin Wall coming down 20 years ago was truly wonderful, and it is great that it has been celebrated at the anniversary.

  8. Isn't it wonderful to work together with your son on a common project. Such a nice way to spend the evening. Once our children grow up it is hard to find a common interest as they are always so busy with their own lives. The chairs are going to mean something special to you.

  9. Hi Doreen,
first: I love your little Brandy, it is a really sweet puppy.
I like to have my childrens near now after living a few years in another country and see them only a few times a year. now I see my daughter every day, because she is my workmate. And my son lives a few minutes from my home, so I can visit him on my way home from work, if I need help or he wants to try a new meal. We all in our familiy like to cook.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, when I'll have the time to make the seats of the chairs.
    Regards to you and Brandy.
