rain and snow and rain and snow

Update: The sun said hello for a short while and I played around.....

In the last days the weather was really bad. After the snow comes the rain and after the rain the snow. So I was very happy, that on this saturday morning everything outside was white. I want to show you again the view of my window into the white "landscape". I never used the Eichhorn-house in this way, I had to put it on a small pillar (for flowerpots I think). There is a foto you can see it all on my windowsill.
I made a room for a single again, with bed and desk - sometimes I would like to have two rooms, one for a desk, one for a bed. On this bed you can see my second knitted blanket, it's more fun than the needlework-pillows, because it is finished in a rather short time.

  1. It's so nice with snow isn't it? We have had a perfect winter so far, with lots of snow first and then a long period with really could and sunny weather. Now it's not so cold and snowing again :-) I love how you displayed the Eichhorn house in these photos. Also the display shelf with all the little Noah's ark micro animals.
I have a green fridge magnet from Prague that looks just like the house on the poster!
    Love the other poster too!

  2. Oh, and I forgot to say that the knitted blanket you made is beautiful! One of the things I should have put on the list in my last post is that I can't use a sewing machine and I can't knit, so I'm very impressed!

  3. I love the knitted bedspread! It looks very cosy. Great desk and posters, too - very colourful! And you have lovely warm light in these photos. I would not like to be outside, though :-(

  4. thank you pubdoll. I'm envious for/of/about/ - I really hate the prepositions - having snow and sunshine. in our area there was not much sunshine.
the postcards are business-cards I picked up in Hamburg in a museum-cafe. I have a lot of them and the size is perfect for the dollshouse - I think the postcards are often too big.

  6. Thanks for your compliment to my knitting-skills, pubdoll, I don't think they are so great, but it works...
Rebecca and kathi, I'm glad you like my fotographs and the light. The flowered sofa is really great, I agree. I'm glad I found it.

  7. Hello there. Of course I have to click on each photo to see everything. WOWOWOW! I love the real people in the background in the first photo. If only they knew they were in a doll house background. You never fail to inspire me.

  8. Haha, Amy, I saw this people later too. In my camera-disply I cannot see such tiny details. But when I saw it on my computer I thougt, it would be nice to have a friend taking such a foto and I could be on the street and wave to you all.
When all the conditions with weather and light and having a friend in my flat are good, I will try this!

  9. The light and composition in these scenes is so lovely, Oese! I want to come for a visit! I also like when you show us the "behind-the-scenes" action.

I often hesitate to show the "behind-the-scene". But I'm so curious by myself and so happy to see such fotos that I mostly decided to show.
Thank you very much for your comments, I apprechiate very much.

  12. I love the way you position your scenes and make the most of your environment. The outdoor scene looks so much a part of the room. We also have had snow, rain, snow, rain but today is a beautiful bright sunny day. However it is bitter cold. I love that blanket you made - how did you manage to knit so small.

  13. hi doreen, this knitting was not small. I knitted it with my needles I used for knitting socks and the same wool too. but meanwhile I have very small needles and tried to make some other blankets and a pillow, that is much smaller and with a special mini-wool like yarn. I will make a post about it now.
enjoy having a warm and cosy home! how's brandy? how are your cats?
