Schultuete

ENG.: In my country of Germany the children have to go to school next week, and my niece Hannah will have her first day at school. I think she will get many presents and so I made her a little scene with a "schultuete". While searching for the translation I realized that it is a very german custom. So look at this link to know more about it:

Schultuete

And here I am with my Schultüte.

  3. What a lovely girl's room, and great to see you with your Schultüte. They really are big! I have seen them on German ebay (for dolls house dolls), and in Erna Meyer room settings. What kind of things do you have in them?
Are the pencils Re-ment? I like the box, I'd like to get some for my dolls too!

  4. Hi Rebecca,
nice you like my roombox! In my own Schultüte there was propably something sweet to eat (but I have to confess, that I forgot it), my children had half sweets and half usefull but nice things for school like pencilcases, pencils and so on.
nowadays I heard that there are very expencive gifts in it even books and cds. I will ask Hannnah, what she had in.
The pencils are made by me, I just painted a few toothpicks and cutted them. The box is folded cardpaper with a printed foto of a real pencilbox glued on it.
I think you could do it too, its easy. good luck!

  5. Oese, that picture of you is priceless! So adorable. And I love this concept of the Schultüte -- much better than a backpack!! :) I agree with Rebecca on the pencils; they are great!

  6. Thank you, Callsmall. Once again: the pencils are very easy to make.
Oh, my old fotograph - I don't think that it's adorable. Who the hell cutted my hair like this? It must have been my mother, no barber would do such a bad, bad work ;-)

  9. Thank you all for your nice comments.
