Dollshouse on the road

Most of you know that I live in a very small appartement and my two windows and balcony are to the southwest-side, so unfortunately I have no place to take pictures on the other side of the house. The view out of my window as a background for my dollshouses is fotographed so many times, that it is boaring for me. I often wanted to take one of my houses outside, but I was too lazy to put all the stuff in boxes or a bag and so it was only a dream to make fotos with nice backgrounds of my town or the nature, as it is possible with my dolls.
But yesterday I found this greenhouse in a shopwindow and allthough it was not cheap, I bought it for my dollshouse on the road. I wouldn't have bought it, if it hadn't had a carrying handle.
First I went a few stairs above and tried fotos out of the stairway-window, from there you can see the "Fernsehturm", our town's landmark. But I must build something to set the house, so my first trials was not as good as I hoped. But I took the house and walked around the 1:1 house I live in - here are the results. I'm looking forward to the next warm day when I go to the park with it ;-)

  1. Oh, It's intriguing, a see-through room.
What a great way to show interior minis - well done, indeed!!
And I love the idea of taking your minis for a walk in the park - that will raise a few eyebrows!

  6. I've seen similar greenhouses at the stores here. I think they are for candles. I never thought of using them as a dollhouse with glass walls! It is just the perfect idea!

  7. Clever solution. I love the carrying handle on the top. I can't wait to see it at the beach or by a lake. Your furniture looks SO sleek in it. Brava! CM

  8. I love it! The black and chrome furniture and glass accessories are brilliant in it. And the pink and white floor and the real pink flowers! And the photo where the Fernsehturm is reflected in the tabletop is absolutely brilliant! Wonderful wonderful examples of your mini-eye :-)

  9. Thank you all so very much, you make me proud!
Glenda, first thanks for the award. And I don't think people will raise their eyebrows. When I was on tour with my fat doll, nobody noticed us, except a few dogs yapping. Katimus guessed, they think I could be kind of dangerous... haha.
Mini Dork, it'll be a pleasure to show you my (mostly ugly) town this way.
TADA, I was thinking of such a lantern for candles before, flipped it would be a great dollshouse with windows all arount too. I just waited of a chance to get one not so expensive, when the summer begins. But this is better because of the roof I think. Perhaps I can make a floor?
Flocke, lake? beach? dream on! I think, this will last a long while. But I'll see what I can do for you ;-)
Rebecca I'm so glad you noticed the refection. It wasn't planned, as it happens often, I saw this later in the fotoshop-programm. My camera-display is small and I cannot see enough it it.

  10. Oh what great photo opportunities this new house will give you. Now you can change the outside as well as the inside. You could also make a loft in the top of the house.
