Bauklötze - Building blocks

Ich glaube, der Grund, warum viele Generationen von Kindern mit Bauklötzen spielen und sie in wirklich jedem Kinderzimmer vorhanden sind, ist ganz einfach, dass sie die Kreativität anregen. Man nimmt sie in die Hand und baut, was alle bauen, was man schon mal gesehen hat, was sich leicht ergibt. Und dann dreht man fühlt man die Dinger und alles mögliche kommt zum Vorschein. So geht es mir jedenfalls. Es ist auch so ein sinnliches Erleben. Meine ersten Bauklötze waren ein Ebay-Fund und von sehr schlechter Qualität, ständig splitterte Holz ab und sie fühlten sich so rau an, dass ich manche erst schleifen musste. Aber diese hier sind so schön glatt und einfach inspirierend. Die rosa Steine als Front für ein Sideboard zu nehmen, kam mir auch während des Bauens!

I think the reason for generations of children playing with building blocks (and every childroom has some) is: they make creative! One has it in the hands and first builts, what all the others built, what one have seen before, what is easy. But to sence it and turn it in the hands brings out so many other ideas - so it is for me. It is a sensual experience. My first blocks from ebay was in a very bad quality with splinters of wood, some I had to smooth with sandpaper. But this Brio blocks are so smooth and inspiring. To take the pink ones in front of the sideboard was an idea coming up while building. And more comes up as you can see here.
