Nochn Geschenk - another gift

Not only Carol sent me a gift while I was in rehab, also Norma (makeminemini) thought of me and sent me a little pot-set matching to my new orange kitchen. It is very very small and I'm so happy with it. You see, there is a good meal on on the stove. The steak is made by Doreen from clay last summer.
This little scene is the opportunity to show another work in soapstone, the ceramik sink. It isn't made with such an accuracy as the stove, the white soapstone is very soft. But I like it and it reminds me of my childhood, when the men made their shaving in the kitchen, when there was some guests and not enough space in our bathroom. Perhaps this was the reason for the mirror above the sink?

  1. It's a relief to know they arrived undamaged, I was a bit concerned about that because the handles in particular seem so fragile because they are so tiny and fine (I think the scale is probably 1/18 rather than 1/16). This is a vintage set, purchased around 1984 and it's probably Lundby although I'm not sure - maybe someone else will know. It has spent most of these long years in a little dark box, I'm so happy to see it now being put to use in your fabulous kitchen :)

Ganz toll.

  3. It amazes me how you make every room come to life. I do not like smaller scales but you really create a wonderful scene and even those scales look so real. The sink is great and your carving skills are perfect. It is so nice to have you back.

  4. Norma, thanks again! They are really fab.
Doreen, thank you for your kind words, I'm glad to be back too.
