Ein Barcelona-Daybed ist es nicht geworden, obwohl es als Vorlage diente. Ich habe meins aus einer alten Handtasche vom Flohmarkt gemacht. Ich weiß, es kommt bei weitem nicht an die tollen Miniaturen heran, die andere machen, aber wer Spaß daran hat und so etwas versuchen will, hier eine Anleitung:
It's not a barcelona-daybed, allthough it was the model. Mine is made from a handbag (fleamarket-find). I know it is far from the miniatures of others, but if you have fun to make such a furniture, here's a kind of tutorial:
1.) Zuerst suche ich eine Vorlage aus
Find a model
2.) Dann die Maße herausfinden - gaaaaanz wichtig!
The measure - very very important!
3.) Umrechnen von inch in cm geht toll mit dem Ikea-Maßband, einfach umdrehen!
Turn inch into cm - very easy with this tape by ikea, just turn around.
4.) Auf den Maßstab umrechnen. Die Angaben durch 18 teilen (für Lundby wie hier)
For the scale divide by 18 for lundby
5.) Ich nehme oft Pappe, Holz (z. B. Balsa) wäre besser
I often use cardboard - balsa-wood is better
6.) Die Handtasche zerschneiden, geht mit jeder Haushaltsschere

7.) Den Trageriemen auftrennen
rip the strap
8.) Das Leder um die "Matratze" kleben
glue the leather around the matress
9.) An den Ecken einschneiden
cut the edges
10.) So sieht die Umrandung dann aus

12.) Das Lederstück einsetzen. Zwischendurch mal ausprobieren, wie es aussieht. Hier fand ich die Matratze zu dick und die Beine zu kurz
Glue the piece of leather on the cardboard. Try how it works in a scene. In this case the matress was to thick and the legs too short.
13.) Also neue Beine ausgesucht, dies ist ein Spielzeug (Holzstäbchen).
So new legs, these are skewers for children
14.) Mit Silberbronze streichen und ein neuer Versuch in Szene:
paint it silver or another colour and another trial
15.) Die Matratze immer noch zu dick. Alles nochmal auftrennen und das Leder umklappen ;-(
I found the matress still too thick, so I removed all and turned the leather down ;-(
16.) Ich bin nicht so zufrieden, also muss mal wieder eine gute Fototechnik her, um es schön aussehen zu lassen (kommt bei mir öfters vor;-)
I'm not content with the result, so I have work with the angle of the fotos to let it look good (I often have to)
Sorry für die Rolle habe ich keine Fotos, einfach das Leder um ein gerolltes Stück Pappe. Knöpfe mit Leder überziehen und in die Enden stecken.
Sorry I have no tutorial for the bolster: I glued the leather around a piece of cardboard and put two buttons covered with leather into the holes.
Nun noch etwas zum Fotografieren:
Da ich nicht so viele Häuser habe, arbeite ich viel mit Bilderrahmen als Fenstern oder Bretter werden zu Wänden. Meistens versuche ich es so auszuschneiden, dass man das gar nicht sieht. So:

I haven't enough houses for different scenes, so I often work with frames or wood for windows and walls. I mostly cut the fotos, so that you can't see it.
