Hausputz

As usual the postman rings at the door just in the moment when I decided to quit surfing and do begin my housework! The yellow vintage-furniture is surprisingly good for lundby-size, I thought they were bigger. Very good! A bargain for 1,50 Euro!

Sie haben allerdings eine gründliche Reinigung nötig!
ENG.:
They need a cleaning indeed.

Auch die nötigen Reparaturen sollen endlich erledigt werden. Schon lange ist die Türklinke kaputt.

I want to fix the door handle today, which is broken for a while.

Gardinen abnehmen...

und den Teppich shampoonieren. Mit dem schönen neuen Gerät - kam mit den gelben Sesseln - kein Problem.

Cleaning the curtains and the carpet. For the carpet a new shampooner arrived with the furniture - so no problem!+

Auch diese Kommode kam heute an.

This dresser arrived too:

Jetzt wird der PC aber wirklich ausgemacht. Es ist zwar kalt, aber die Sonne scheint!

But no I'll switch off the pc - it is cold but sunny outside.

at night

I couldn't sleep this night and played around with my wooden blocks. Of course the lighting is very bad at night and I don't wanted to illume the whole room (that works!), so I shot a few pics and edited them. I hope it's useful for some of you who aren't familiar with editing their fotos.
I know that a real fotographer don't like editing like this, but for me it's okay!

useful toothpicks

Another wall-unit made of wooden blocks and boxes for toothpicks.

I used this boxes in different ways as you can see here:

I couldn't stop with the building blocks...

Eames

I'm such a lucky person having so many online-friends sending me nice pieces! Thanks to CM from My Realitty for this chair. It is broken, but it wasn't available in the shops I searched for it. I tried to glue it, but it is hard because the chair is heavy and the thingamabomb is so small. For a first shot I fixed it the way you see on the last foto. I really have to ask my son to help me.
By the way: Carols blog is uncomparable, she has more then 180 followers and she's blogging for half a year!

the golden ratio

Update:
This is the post in Mini Modern, where I saw first the use of building blocks in a dollshouse. It was very inspiring to me and I want you to show:

Often when I try to make furniture from matchboxes or other boxes or when I need a piece of paper for the flooring of my rooms I noticed, that the things go so well together in their size. Two matchboxes are good for one sofa (the green sofa in the last scene is from covered matchboxes), a sheet of paper is good for the floor in my conservatory and so on.
When I worked as a hairdresser I often read about the golden ratio and tried to find out how to cut the hair with the golden ratio. I wanted to get to the bottom of the beauty and I had very interesting talks with my clients and others about this.
Today I googled for some 1:1 designer cabinets, because I have some more designer-chairs now and most of the cabinets I have are vintage or just boxes or too ordinary. I found a cabinet I like and resolved to try to build it and if I would fail to give an order to "pinchofpepper" or Elisabeth from ELF. I took my praline-box (my very first cabinet), some building blocks, but only for a study and sketch, but then was so happy to realize, that one thing fits to the other. The building-blocks to the box and a tic-tac-box as well. Some "dingsbums" by ikea - and ready!
I didn't measure it, but it MUST be the golden ratio!

The sofa is from pinchofpepper, I think I missed to present it so far, it came with the bedroom and other nice gifts she sent me a while ago. :-)

black & white

This is the second chair I got from ELF-Miniatures in UK. I like to buy these designer-chairs in Europe, they arrive quickly.

think pink!!!

I received THREE wonderful reac-chairs today and I couldn't resist to show you the first of it, allthough I knew that it is a bit overwhelming, when I post so many new pictures in one day.
I try to keep the others for a while, so everyone can enjoy this blaze of colour!

For Jivan and Satyam: Thank you ...

... that you sold some of your toys to me. I hope your daddy will read this to you and I'm sure that very soon Jivan will read of his own, because he is a very clever little guy. How do you like the things I made of your stuff? Do you recognize it all? For example the little lamp on the side-table, do you know from what I made it?

I hope the little packet with the hairgrips arrived meanwhile. I'm sorry I was a bit late with sending it. Thanks again for the hairgrip with the little horse. Isn't it nice in the shelve?

Designer-furniture

I'm allways searching for beautiful designer-furniture in 1:1 that will match to my style. I often save photos and hope I'll eventually find the time for recreating them or someone who wants to do this for me. I still hesitate to give an order, when I havn't tried of my own yet. yesterday I plugged in a new router and it looks very cool, white and highgloss. The wall-holder for this rooter was nearly thrown away, but then I saw the potential for my dollshouse as a designer-furniture-piece. The dresser is made of building-blocks.

Attic

As Doreen allready said, it is possible to make a tiny attic-room in the greenhouses roof. Yesterday I couldn't stop with this house, I was even too busy decorating it to go outside as I planned!
uh oh, how addictive is this!
I learned a bit about the angle to fotograph through the plexiglas, but I think there is some more expierience needed. I'm very glad that during the last year some 1:24 furniture come along my collection, because even the lundby-scale items are too big for the attic.

This is the second version.
There is so less space that I had the idea to open the roof. Now there is a kind of roof-terrace.

I realized, that all this very small furniture was sent to me as a gift from Moretoview and Pinchofpepper. Some bits was part of a swap with Callsmall and some are playmobil.

It's nice that the blue bag and the micro-giraffes fits in every scale.

Panorama

CM wanted to see my new house on the beach or at a lake. I'm sorry that there is no journey like this planned in this year. But I tried my best to make nice panorama-pics. The solution is in the tiny tiny picture above.
