a dutch cloth-market
is a very famous market for all kind of clothes and I was searching for cloth with very small patterns, that are not little flowers. I was successful, but I couldn't buy 20 cm as usual, but 50 or 100 cm. so I had not enough money in my bag and I have too big pieces, but only three instead of some more I expected to buy.
At home I realized that one cloth is very good for the floor and made a scene with it in my lekman-box.

today. So I quickly set up a little scene in the barbershop. I found this acrylic drop and I am full of hope to cover it one day with cloth for beeing a kind of ballchair.

Thonet

Mit der Küche habe ich noch günstig diese zwei Thonet-Stühle gekauft. Ich habe solche auch mal für die Lundby-Größe gesehen, aber sie waren unerschwinglich und dann sagte der Verkäufer auch noch, dass sie leicht zerbrechlich sind. Nichts für mich! Diese sind aus Metall.

With the kitchen came this two Thonet-chairs. I saw such chairs in lunby-scale once, but they were soooo expansive and the seller told, they will broke easily. So they are not for me. Mine are from metal.

Omas Küchenschrank - grandmothers cupboard

Nun ist der Schrank lackiert, aber so toll gefällt er mir nicht. Vielleicht streiche ich ihn doch lieber weiß, so wie der in Püppilottchens Laden ist.


Now I'm ready, but don't know if I should let the cupboard in this colour. Perhaps I paint it white like Püppilottchen has one in her shop.

Nachdem ich mühevoll zwei Farbschichten heruntergeholt habe, habe ich mich nach langem Überlegen nun doch entschlossen, den Küchenschrank wieder in etwa seiner Originalfarbe creme zu streichen. Leider konnte ich die Farbe nicht erhalten. Natürlich sieht er mit der Holzmaserung auch schön aus, aber so ist ja schon das Schlafzimmer. Dies ist der erste Anstrich, ich würde ihn gerne so hochglänzend wie möglich hinkriegen.




ENG.: after I take off two colours I decided after long cogitation to paint this cupboard in its original creme colour. of course the wooden one is also lovely, but I have the bedroom in this style. this is the first cover of paint, I wanted it so highglossed as possible.

Buntes Plastik - colourful plastic

with the gdr-chairs and club-armchairs came two childrens beds and a drawer, but everything is so colourful, that it is no fun to make scenes with it before it is painted or covered with cloth. I discovered that the bodo hennig coffee-table is perfect for the lundby house as a very huge table. both had to give their colour to my fotoshop.

Dies wäre eine Möglichkeit: Für eine rosa-verrückte junge Frau muss man hier nichts anstreichen.

This could be another possibility: for a mad-for-pink young lady it would be okay not to paint.

In der Lekman-Box mit Sonnenlicht sieht alles noch viel schöner aus.


Mit den DDR-Möbelchen kamen auch drei dieser Plastik-Cocktailsessel, einen davon habe ich schon bezogen, bei den anderen überlege ich noch wegen der Farbe des Bezugsstoffes.

In der Nähe des Kinos gestern war ein Charity-Shop, dort habe ich einen Kinderrock schwarzgrundig mit Blumen gefunden. Er gibt hier den Bettbezug!

The white and red chairs and the plastic cocktail-armchairs are an ebay-find, they are made in GDR. The fabric of the bed is from a skirt I found in a charity-shop near the cinema.

kamen diese Küchenstühle und noch ein paar andere Sachen, die ich bei ebay ergattert habe. Im Hintergrund noch die alten Küchenmöbel von 1930, an denen ich noch arbeite.

1930er Schlafzimmer/bedroom

Gestern abend habe ich die Arbeiten an dem schönen alten Schlafzimmer abgeschlossen. Die Reste abgeschliffen, die dunklen Teile gebeizt und alles hauchdünn lackiert. Es sind echte Lieblingsstücke geworden.

yesterday I finished the work on my beautiful old bedroom-furniture, sanded the rests of paint off, bate the dark pieces and put a very thin cover of varnish on. They are really favorite-items now.

Spätes Frühstück - late breakfast

Um 11 erst gemütlich frühstücken, ein paar Papiere ordnen und Telefonate erledigen - so ein Urlaub zuhause ist doch was Feines!

ENG.: Having breakfast at 11.00, read a few letters, do some phonecalls - a vacance at home can be a wonderful thing.

Who wants to be a millionaire?

So ein paar Tage Urlaub befreien den Geist: Warum bin ich nicht früher auf die Idee gekommen, den Schrank zu teilen oder auch die Corbusier-Sessel mal mit meinen Streichholz-Polstern zu bestücken? Ich mag grau und Chrom kombiniert mit dem alten Holz. Und ich mag, wenn er am Tisch sitzt und über Ikea-Plänen brütet, während sie "Wer wird Millionär" guckt und ein Bierchen zischt....

ENG.:
a few days off makes the mind open: why didn't I have this ideas earlyer, to apart the cupboard or to take my "matchbox-chushions" for the corbusier-chairs? I like the grey and chrome in combination with the old wood. And I like, when he is sitting at the table over new ikea-plans for the flat while she is watching "who wants to be a millionaire", having a cold beer......
(for my foreign readers: I changed the picture in the lundby-tv and it shows the host of the german show "who wants to be a millionaire". he presents this show for 10 years in this days and never missed out any broadcast in this 10 years. I follow this show only the last years, but I like his style of hosting very much)

You don't see any warddobe in this bedroom? So, that's why there is a walk-in-closet, you see the door on the left side. Envious?

Callsmalls Paket ist am Freitag angekommen. Sie schickte mir ein Bett, einen Frisiertisch, zwei Stühle, eine Standuhr - diese Sachen passen perfekt in mein Smaland. Dann noch zwei Re-ment-Sets, die in der Größe nicht passen, höchstens als überdimesionierte Erdbeermilch, wie auf dem Schminktisch zu sehen. Ich finde alle Sachen ganz wunderbar. Sie sind so gut mit allem zu kombinieren, sowohl modern als auch etwas traditioneller. Hier unten sind nun die re-ment Sachen. Sie sind von der Größe perfect für die 1:10 Möbel, aber welche Herausforderung, sie mit modernen Lebensmitteln zu kombinieren. Ich musste einen Pappkarton nehmen, um sie alle zu platzieren. Aber echtes Mehl passt zu jedem Maßstab ;-)

Callsmalls packet arrived on friday. She sent me a bed, a vanity, two chairs, a clock - this items are perfect for my Smaland-house. I love all this things. They are great to combine with both: modern and more traditional. Beneath are the re-ments: They are perfect for my 1:10-furniture and it was a challenge to make a scene in which I combine these old table and cupboard with modern food. I had to take a cardbox to place them (nearly) all. I found that I can use real flour in every scale ;-)
